Anyway I still like Ok Bin (and Puey~).

Here's clip of Stephanie, many repeats of her routine and a different and really nice one from 2:43 onwards :)

Here's another one. Okie...i lose..she's really better and talented!

Relishing a new-found freedom, not babies

BANGKOK - YING, 29, has a good job with the Bangkok office of a major international aid organisation.

The accomplished, soft-spoken Bangkok native has a master's degree from a British university.

To marketers, she represents an enticing new target - independent young women with spending power.

But to demographers, the unmarried woman is a statistic that points to a worrying future: an ageing society in which young people must increasingly take on the burden of earning and paying taxes.

For now, Bangkok marketers are tapping the lucrative niche.

Reports indicate that women's cosmetic products sell consistently well in malls and department stores, regardless of the general economic environment.

A handful of clubs and restaurants exclusively for women have opened over the past 12 months. The

California Fitness chain launched separate women-only gyms this year.

Much of this is driven by life in Bangkok, where freedom and career opportunities offer a direction away from the stereotypes that dog women in Thailand.

Said Professor Kanjapat Korsieporn of Chulalongkorn University's Social Research Institute: 'Women in Bangkok are more economically independent, more confident, more expressive.'This marks a shift within a patriarchal society in which women have had to accept their lower position in society and, until recently, lower daily wages than men.

'Women are seen to be sensitive, weak, submissive and service-minded, whereas men are equated with such qualities as rationality, decisiveness, strength and leadership,' notes a Gender and Development Research Institute study.

Women outnumber men slightly in Thailand's population of roughly 63million and more women than men graduate with bachelor's and master's degrees.

But when it comes to political representation, women are under-represented.

In former premier Thaksin Shinawatra's first administration, only 41 out of 500 members of Parliament were women. There was only one woman in his last Cabinet - Sudarat Keyuraphan, whose constituency is in Bangkok.

Thailand's new Cabinet features only two women, and the newly-appointed National Legislative Assembly remains overwhelmingly male.

Yet, recent years have seen progress in terms of women's rights, say researchers on gender issues. But there is trouble ahead, as more Thais - most of them women living alone - get older.

Around six years ago, Thai researchers began voicing concern that the country's population was ageing even faster than in some industrialised countries.

Today, a new sense of urgency is apparent because, as the trend gathers pace, Thailand remains ill-equipped to deal with the consequences.

The number of people aged 60 and over will almost double in the next 20 years to about 11.6million, demographer Pramote Prasartkul, of Mahidol University's Institute for Population and Social Research (IPSR), told a conference here last month.

At the same conference, Health Department director-general Somyos Charoensak said that by 2022, Thailand's population growth rate will have dwindled below replacement rate. By then, elderly people will outnumber children, he said. Demographers trace the turning point to 1983, when the number of babies born in a year dipped below one million for the first time. It has continued to fall every year.

Two new phenomena are enhancing the consequences of a population control programme so successful that today, around 75per cent of women use birth control.

First, women are marrying later. In the 1960s, women married at about 25 years old on average; by 2000, the Thai bride's average age was 27.3 years. Secondly, the proportion of women who stay unmarried is rising fast - and the number of children born per woman is falling.

Compounding these problems are a high divorce rate, which has spawned three million broken families - mostly in Bangkok - and an increase in the number of people living alone.

Professor Pramote says the main reason more women are staying single is that, while their rise up the status ladder brings greater independence, working harder and longer leaves little time to devote to their personal lives.

Bangkok - a city of around 10 million people - is the epicentre of all these trends. Nationwide, some 37per cent of women of child-bearing age who live in urban areas are single, says Thailand's National Statistical Office.

But in Bangkok, as many as 41.8 per cent of women of child-bearing age - defined as 15 to 49 - are single.

Also, the traditional extended but close-knit family typical in Asian societies is rapidly becoming a thing of the past - and Bangkok leads the trend.

Ms Ubol Limsakul, an inspector for the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, recently told a seminar on family empowerment that the transformation from an agrarian to an industrial society had created changes in Thailand's traditional family structures. There are more nuclear families made up of only parents and children, rather than extended families.

In addition, some 1.3 million families in the capital are single-parent households, she said. And though there is no hard data yet, there are signs that a new type of family - same-sex couples - is growing, as Thai society becomes more open.

The long-term implications are grave, warn demographers. The country's health and welfare systems will come under increasing strain as more people need their services.

In the short term, many like Ying - who asked not to be identified by her full name - have mixed feelings.

'I do enjoy the freedom and independence,' she said, as she paid for an expensive lunch with another young, single Thai woman at one of Bangkok's trendiest restaurants.

'But' she added, with a rueful smile, 'I am not single by choice.'

Interesting article sent by shan. hahaha...something related to the 4:1 ratio I always talk about.

Thought about writing about my Khun Joy but somehow I just don dare to write anything for fear of jinxing the relationship.

Hmmmm....Ken-san is pretty upfront about telling me when he'll get his bonus and he'll quit right after :p hahahha...we chatted about accounting, taxation and stuff for his new setup. Hmm..going to be a big headache to find another new guy next year.

Topic of business ideas came up. Hmmm....haven't thought about business much except for some bakedoodle stuff with my niece babe. Still haven't quite been free enough to work on it yet - rather bake for my friends for Christmas!

Glad to see the Trailer/Container idea finally up early last month. Then again I'm quite upset it's Venue who's doing it. Don't quite agree with the merchandising and the whole business angle......but probably they might be soaking up A and P from the labels into their pockets instead. Maybe I'm the typical Singaporean who talks about setting up shop all day but never goes about doing it :p   hahahahahahah..hey i did email Vivian Bala about it and he put me with SPRING for this. Too bad my proxy was not really interested in meeting with LTA/SPRING/MITA last year. Pretty upset about it but I guess my intentions are never understood. More upset when some ah sia kia gave me so much support instead of me roxy.

My ideas really so bad meh. Always hit by extreme pessimism....

Kena some extreme pessimism today. Sometimes it's fun to talk about ideas. People sure a pessimistic nowadays. Lucky Joy is always around to make her very own weird noises and dance moves (Guess the mirror). Call it Vitamin J. hahaha...

Was thinking that our matchmaking industry is really doing well. They even launched the Partner Connection Fund at the industry trade seminar with MCYS recently. ooooooooooooooohhhh...funding for companies with matchmaking on their agenda.   Some of the companies I know in the business are pretty advanced and doing very well catering to the Black Collars (oh yes I do put my profile up to test water for fun :)  guess who are the people who contact me and how does the complicated IT thingey work?)

It may be unethical but it's probably workable to set up a lousy establishment here to trap govt funding from Singapore and push it over to Bangkok side for matchmaking business development. When both establishments are doing well, it will be a plus plus as you do regional.

Seriously, SIngapore really have alot of best practices for Bangkok to follow in this industries..... hahaha....maybe Lunch Actually would want to hire me to build a subsidiary in Bangkok.

SAWADEE KRUPP ACTUALLY

Bloody shiok interviewing all the attractive Thai Phd holders who speak french/thai/english and italian and letting only "IT" people in. I'm a bitch right? hahaha...

then again...it's not funny to some. Pretty sianz when someone just cut me off and said YOU THINK SO EASY MEH??!!! YOU THINK YOU SO GOOD MEh........ that someone is a pretty nice person actually but certain words like Got Shadow or not (wu yiah bor) do get to me pretty bad for about 24 hours of my time. Of course it's not easy. It's not easy when you have to put food on the table and some issues to attend to all the time. But at least I'm always cheerful (weird one of my ex said i'm always pessimistic...never understood !! ???)

Oh well...at least I'm finally debt free in 2006 now. Random people like Bondbabe really inspire me with their optimism given their financial rut. Hahahaha....I'll take my time to build up to Asset Level 1.1 where you can finally square/cube it.  Squaring at Asset Level 0.2 is gonna makin it 0.04   ...heeheeee.  Better keep riding my Yamaha RX-S $800 bike till end of next year to save money!!!

It's my dad's birthday actually. Wishing him all the best in health! He's worth my Everything.

http://www.theage.com.au/news/business/while-malaysia-fiddles-its-opportunities-are-running-dry/2006/11/14/1163266550487.html?page=fullpage#contentSwap1

Sensitive topic.

But stuff like this always comes up during my meetings with Malaysian business peeps. Thinking about the stuff I heard, the stuff in the link above may just be a tip of the iceberg.

Well.......no country is perfect I guess.

I hear alot of people lamenting about life in Singapore but it's really not a bad place, relatively.

Seriously.

I think my hometown is a fantastic safehaven. Low crime, predictable environment, stable government, high standard of living and if you work very hard, you'll definitely be okay. Maybe it's all about perspective - Predictablity does make life pretty boring. I know a country that dyes it's diseased and rotting pork red with cyanide yet sell the oink by the ton claiming it's top grade. That makes a pretty good topic for aunties to gossip about at the market, doesn't it? I don't think such shit will happen in our food factories at Pandan Loop. (I hope!)

I love my country. It's a good place for SOME people. The government really has good programs that takes care of you - CPF for your retirement and HDB for your housing needs. Great employment opportunities...blah blah...and the list goes on. It is just unforuntate the government might have gotten in the way for SOME OTHER people.

It is an amazing coincidence that we no longer have new billionaires after 1965? It is not a coincidence that NTUC has joined the undertaking business though. Hmmm...don't you find the government is in almost everything that's making good profits? Whether or not this hampers private enterprise, we'll need more data/research on it.

hmmm.....think i shouldn't say too much here. Most of my friends and peeps in the govt(i love you peeps!) already heard the views I have so no point risking a lawsuit here given my careless nature.

I'm so proud that my country is doing fine. However, we shouldn't be complacent. It's real easy to get complacent when it's been one-party running the show for donkey years. Opposition? Think the only credible opposition would be when a coalition of the K**k, Kh**, G*h etc etc billionaires is formed. hmmm...but i think they can't be bothered. I'm sure they value their privacy and freedom more. Imagine being photographed in Pat Pong overseas!!!

Politics is unfair.

You need power, brains and money to win. How can you expect PAP to make it fair to you? (Yes the people at PAP was right to "correct" the opposition for complaining about fair ground).

I really hope to have an opposition to discuss the constitution in the US, Phillippines, Thailand, UK and E.U. countries relative to Singapore. An opposition that has a thorough understanding of the educational systems in Germany, China and Japan before making a comment on our very own (hmm..then again...EM3 is something really idiotic that everyone wanted to scrap...why did it take so long.....)

How is the opposition going to get into the action, twist/amend constitution to make it fairer for them(maybe more corporate funding involved?) blah blah blah....

Oh well..that's boring talk.

*change topic*

7% GST

wah lau!

Can't believe their doing this and saying they are spreading the wealth of the nation to the lower income people. Regressive taxation actually makes the lower income group suffer more actually.

And, erm, would 100% of the GST taxation go towards helping the lower income group? No comment and no data available for analysis.....

The thing is poor man has $10 and rich man has $1000.

Daily necessities cost $4. Now it cost $5 because of GST 7%

That's like 50% of the poor man's income and peanuts (ooooo....peanuts can be expensive though..haha)  to the rich man.

So sad huh.

The argument is that the rich man will spend more on luxuries and fine dining so he'll pay more taxes. Erm.....SIngaporean elites are not that stupid actually. We all owe businesses and so most extravagant expenditure goes towards business accounts/entertainment accounts. In the end, you might get a better deal on your consumption because you suffer less business/corporate tax at the end of the day. And wow, the government is lowering income tax/company tax. Win-win for the rich.

You might hear of some journalist from foreign countries commenting that our government knows how to rob the poor and make them thank them for it...hahahaha...how true is that I'm not sure - no data available to make a point. But I'm thankful for bullshit stuff like this that makes me sit up and analyse how our country's policies are faring.

oops...i'm no longer in banking and finance/audit (goodbye $$$)
*change topic*

Marketing....hmmm...that's more boring than anything. Change topic again!

Blog EntryArt of ChocolateOct 11, '06 1:04 AM
for everyone

I just have to blog about this funny shit that happened on Friday :p

You meet all sorts of people working in a bank. Somehow there will be bankers who think they owe the world and can get any girl they want (hmmmm...well a shitload of money and pampering worms into a local girl's heart pretty easy) Ego sure is dangerous when it gets out of hand.

So out of the lift came Mr.J, crashing in alone on a company function to check on a friend, as he was pretty bored at the jazz place nearby.

Pat was busy entertaining everyone and had no time for me so I ended up chilling by the bar with another friend. Maybe my trying to say "Hi" to Pat in the crowd makes me seems like some pervert hovering around a damsel (gosh at that moment i feel like some perverted idiot at Banana disco who was circling us and the korean girls).

*returns to bar and sulks*

WTF? Invite me over and push someone to entertain me...... oh well...had more drinks on the house and was having a pretty nice chat at the bar when I notice some big burly pervert moving in on Pat....

"I wanna goooo hoooommmeeeee" he says....(of course..with a cheeky perverted smile he percevied as his secret weapon). He was having his hands all over Pat but Pat was pushing him away till she backed against a pillar (no horse run!)

"I wanna gooo hoooomeeee with you...." some kinda shit he whispered into Pat's ears...which I could vaguely make out as I moved over to check how are things.

oh man...what did she get herself into this time.....

"Pat you okay?" as I kinda put my hands in between both of them.

(no shit...it's some BIG burly guy with a horny face)

Stupid guy ignored me and sidestepped me to continue with his horny nonsense. Firmed up my hands to stop him dead. Well Pat didnt' stop me so I guess she doesn't want him.

And the next line from him really made my day....Joke of the month sia...

"I CAN BREAK YOUR WRIST JUST LIKE THAT OKAY" (something like that...or break your wrist easily")

He said that so loud his whole company can hear him. I was bursting out laughing like wtf.......is this secondary school? geeesh...usually people break necks and break bones..this guy breaks WRISTS???

So is that suppose to turn me into a  "broken wrist" like those you see in Pat Pong? hahahhha...

er...apparently he wasn't too happy about me giggling (i noe that's girlish but you should see his horny and serious face...ooooh....Ego oozing out of his head)

He grabbed my wrist and attempted to do some clumsy wrist lock (stuff guys teach to girls to impress them). Apparently he was drunk and couldn't channel his strength properly. I just twisted out of it and flicked his filthy hands off (weak fella given his size, even Keith could grab me more firmly)

By then all the bouncers were out and restraining him and some were sweet enough to ask if I was hurt. Poor guy had to deal with my jeers and confidence as I returned to the bar and watch him being restrained.

Maybe I've seen too many of such big ego losers to realise that usually people who talk shit like that are harmless. The DANGEROUS ones are the scrawny ones who whack you on the head from behind WITHOUT UTTERING A SOUND. No shit....this is true....  these weirdoes just punch you like that without saying a thing.

*gulp*

I think I can forgot about working in a particular bank from now :p

Weird day...ended up taking care of all the drunks the whole nigh. FInally ended up at Butter Factory to catch Jes since she's back from HK for a holiday. Sucky long queue as usual and no way I am going to queue or ask someone to get me in. AGAIN, I have to miss catching up with Jes...gosh it's been like years since I've seen her!

So home i went......missing a particular someone from the city of angels and thinking of the big surprise.

Saturday was the fundrasing event and it went on pretty well!!

Wooohooo!

!$#%$#%#@!!!! was duped that there were alot of people up for auction as well but it ended up as me and Jesse being the only guys auctioned off. Hahahha...

I had a great time and some nice beer butt chicken + cheese fries. Everyone who met up had some story to share as well....oh I love everyone :p Hmmm...shall blog more about this event the next time...totemo isogashi ~ Have to get busy ~

Let's just say I'm worth $140 for now. Hahha....

Blog EntryGear 2Sep 14, '06 4:03 PM
for everyone

Just came back from Handlebar after a hearty meal of beer-butt chicken and BBQ roast ribs (flintstones size) + 2 Heineken + sipping some of Sean's pussy beer :p

Shumin's fudgey mud brownies was da sex man :p   makes my day as usual.

Been freakin' long since I put some crap here. Let's just start with as far back as I can remember. RIght.....the 21.1km army half marathon.

Shitass me have to go blading for 8-9 hours the day before and still hang out late at brekos cafe till midnight. My knees were already aching quite a bit before collasping in bed at 2.30am.  Next thing I knew was it was like 5+ am and SHIT i'm bloody late!!! As if being late wasn't bad enough.....i kinda forgot what route I should take to the start point!! So Mr. J ended up going round and round the esplanade area asking the cops at the road blocks how to get the start point. If not for the promise I made at the GP that I'll do the half and full marathon this year, I honestly would just pop into Macdonald's and grab a big breakfast instead. Oh well....let's start running....

45 minutes late.

Clock showed 3 hours 7 minutes when I crossed the line.

Nett timing therefore = 2 hours 18 minutes ++

Alright that's probably the time girls take to finish a FULL marathon instead but hey i'm pretty proud of myself to finish the run even. My knees ache like hell after that!!

My virgin run :p

Not a very good one actually as I started real late and was running alone through miles of rubbish + paper cups. There's no motivation since I'm not running with anyone at all. It was only at about 7-8km mark I managed to catch up with the laggers. Hell I would sooooooooo DIE without my MP3 player.

I was a total noob at long distance. Glad to finish this half marathon before I go on to the full marathon. Terence and his friend who are the pros (sub 2 hours okie!!) gave me extra tips and some encouragement after the run but HELL i'm really doubting my ability to survive 42km.

It's gonna be painful man.

So freakin tired I spent a pretty long time lounging and washing up at mandarin hotel toilet area. Min was really sweet to bake some rum-based (fav!) truffles to top up my Jack-fat after the run (see pictures in Min's secret pastries)

All I wanted after the run was to fly off to Bangkok for my thai massage :p and to see someone?

hmmmmm..run was after the phuket trip.....and yeah....after the run soon I flew off to KL to conduct sales n product training for the managers and sales promoters.

Sanggat per-nat !! Chakap melayu Lapan jam non-stop sia :(

Seriously some local langauge knowledge seriously drives home the point. Was glad Heng was around to translate lotsa of stuff due to my half-baked Malay (time to revise!!). I'm like so RELIEVED things went well as I totally did not prepare for the whole-day seminar since someone pissed me off that night.

It was a hectic but fruitful 3 day 2 night thingey dissecting business issues with the new Malaysian team. hmmm..can't really blog about the funny challenges faced by the company here so oh well......

Met up with Charlize, (been so loooong) at Kim Gary near Sunway Pyramid; who's now working in Luxasia. She's always like my savior because nightlife in Shah Alam can be such a bore (Bangsar and other areas are too far and I have work the next day) !! Had the greatest time catching up and bitching about work :p

Flight back home was DELAYED!!! arrrrggghhh.....Was rotting in the lounge and it was a surpise to have met up with some of my peers in ING bank there.

I'm so gonna hate Burger King because it either means I have to work till damm late in my Singapore office or flight is delayed so you get some free fast food and drinks :(

Rushed for my Thai class the moment I touched down and was lucky to catch the remaining 1 hour of class and *TA-DA* I'm not certified with Basic Thai Level 1 :)

Dai phoot pasaar Thai nit nooy :p

hmmm..can't really remember anything else but recently I was contemplating resiging my job. wait....i already tendered my resignation (unofficial) . Told my boss about it casually and he told me to come up with my terms and conditions to stay on in the company.........

Still undecided. After all, no job offers me responsibilities up to country manager levels (pity pay doesn't match up though..hahah). Not 1 country but 12 countries!! hmm...then again....i just seem to bypass the middle stage where you slog as a marketing executive...odd...oh my career is in a mess.

But oh well, i'll take the next 2 weeks from now to go for interviews and grab the best offer. It's not just about money really......some colleagues at work have been pissing me off with their materialistic inclinations. Oh well...Singaporeans are like this, huh?  What's wrong with not being a banker??!!!! I just want to do marketing/branding!!!!

Cant' remember what else happened. Guess I'll try to blog more frequently so as to avoid long superficial summaries to make up for everything like this entry.

Just looking forward to the Bangkok trip !!

Blog EntryPhuket August' 06Sep 3, '06 8:20 AM
for everyone

Haven't written anything for ages - no thanks to uber-busyness + me laziness.

Anyway just wanted to write something to mark the great trip I had - especially since I did not take any photos at all !!! (wtf??!!)

Life has been shitty wrestling the additional burden of Budget 07 and F8+4. I can't believe my shit luck when i have to push my Phuket trip with snowflake 2 freaking days back just because my boss says so. Again no thanks to the bad internal controls and processes of my company :( not like I'm the Country Manager or GM....why izzit that I must stay?.....oh wells....shouldn't elaborate too much on that

Haveta thank Nat for my pre-phuket stay at her East Coast Apt. Frigging taxi fare from Jurong to the airport is no joke with the fare increase! The many freaky pictures around in her living room sure left an impression......Big scare in the middle of the night!

Lucky I was too excited about the Phuket trip to bother....5am and yours truly is up and all ready to paint Phuket red!

Caught Colin (aka Mr. Duck Noodle) @ Ya-kun and shared some bitching about Tiger Airways. Seriously I'm bloody damm relieved Colin didn't turn out to be like freaky William I went Pattaya with. (gosh!! snowflake !! what are you thinking to be going on a trip with him ???!!!)

Anyway, snowflake didn't really do worse this time by going on a holiday supposedly with Pilot and PBF. Ends up cute pilot's not going and PBF graudated to "ex" status b4 the trip started.

Shucks....was looking forward to some drama

And so the motely crew of Shu, Keith, snowflake, Colin, PBF and moi met at dunno wtf White Sands Resortel....... power failure, aircon leak somehow isn't everyone's idea of a shiok-ka-doo hotel. Hence after the Arrrrrrrrroi mak mak~ Kao man Kai lunch we arrived at the fantabulos Kata Resort!!

"3 steps away from the water......"  hahaha...seriously...it's no kidding they mention this on the website. And thanks to the Mr. Nice Guy, Poo, the big ass villa that cost 5800baht a night(off season) shrunk to a measly 1000 baht a night!!! We even had a priceless babe view of a French family opposite us to top that. Gotta thank them many many for sharing their bar counter floats with us since we shared the private pool. The cute bod is actually a production manager working in the States while his thai wife is a aesthetician @ a spa. And Miss. Jailbait and Baybee was so cute I like just wanna get an Farang wife to have such lovely kids...hahah... (maybe a thai wife does the magic, right?)

Late lunch and lazing around @ Chalong bay was the SEX man....... Melt in your mouth Saba fish (nihongo for mackerel), garlic pork, Tom Yum Goong, Calamari, Som Tum etc etc 10 steps away from the water =  Happy Jack

Got a freaking bad memory to put things in chronological order but the next thing I remember was the Lobster Sashimi at Khang Eng 2 ...hahha....sweet meat...it's the bomb again!

Roti (w caramel and banana), Duck noodle (Pet Kuay Teow Naam), and all the finger foods at the Market (Ta'Laat) .....hmm...it seems our Phuket trip turned out to be pretty much of a foodie trip. Hahaha....but seriously the food over there is SUPER I tell you.

Banana Disco and Tiger Disco......erm...they sure have weird names for the most happening nightspots. Hmmm.....not that spectacular but the crowd's definitley better than the places we are @ in Pattaya. Well at least the Nikon D70 and the Afro pretty much made my day :p

Khun Ying a.k.a. Queen of Phuket!!  hahaha...Khit Tueng mak mak ~  Ow mai? Gotta thank this hip English Lecturer babe for taking us around. She missed a hot date just to send us to the airport!!! It's funny to hear Ying's parents speak in Hokkien :p . Think it's not such a good idea to teach her all the Hokkien profanities huh....

We had a covert ops to release Fireworks for the people of Phuket @ Kata Beach too....haha...kudos to Colin for having an old stash at his friend's place. Our mini NDP parade..hahah....the kind of stuff you would do for your gf : )     It was some beautiful shit when the sky lit up for that 5 minutes.

Nikki's HandleBar!!!! Totally didn't know a Phuket version existed :p  I luuuuuuuuuuv Nikii's collection of vintage cars and Harleys... Got lotsa free beers from pool-shark Nikki : )  Think next time must make him play with his legs, ya.    and yeah right.........snowflake doesn't know how to play pool ..haha

Massage - Had a great time practicing Thai with the masseurs :p   Now I know how to say "Playboy" in Thai - Chiao Shuuu -  No I was just kidding about walking her back to her house. Just went up to give an extra tip for the thai lesson lah :p  Coincidentally, my masseur's name is the same as our French-Thai neighbour's baby - "Ma Lik"

Enjoyed the chilling out at the luxurious kata resort - espcially when the private pool lights up at night. hahah...chatting till sun rise is something I haven't done in ages. I guess it lethargy does strange things to people :p  got humped-on by Keith at the glimpse of dawn!! He's horny alrightey !!! Help !!

Many thanks to Keith and Colin for being the lor mak mak drivers for this trip. Khop Khun mak~

Fantastic trip thanks to snowflake, Shu, Colin, Nick, Keith, Khun Ying, Khun Poo, Nikki and the wonderful food, babes and beaches Phuket has to offer.

for everyone

Chanbara! Finally got the name right hahaha....

MT was sleeping over at the dojo so I popped by with BJs (Ben & Jerrys). Hahahha...nothing has changed except there is now a comfy King Kong bilik for King Kong Mel now.

Omg had so much fun playing with the nunchunks, spears, batons, swords that were all made of some kind of hardened foam. Helmets, boxing gloves, pads whatever ...hahah..missed them :p

Darn those lucky kids are having all the fun trashing the hell of of one another and their parents with the kendo swords.*envy* Even the serious Kendo guys pop over to use those funny sticks...*ouch*

Picture below says it all...sooooooooo cute!

Blog EntryTabunan's BJ classes :pJul 23, '06 1:15 PM
for everyone

I miss Mel Tambunan and the old days

Been like forever since I've blogged so here goes a recap of the past 4 months!!

Had a great time catching up with Tabunan today :p

It's been soooooooooooooooo long and the kids have all grown up!! Sir expanded to hold Brazilian Jujitsu and Chu ****** something something stick fighting classes on top of classes. Oh man I miss his faggie voice :p hahhahaha  ("Jack....ar...you smile...later I'm GOING TO MAKE YOU SWEAT!!")

Tabunan Mel's the same old hyper cartoony girl I know. She's finally sick of the squabbling at the national federation and stopped competitive training : )  Great! Ignore those idiot people and concentrate on fun + making more money.

She's brining the kids to Genting for holidays, sky-diving, deep sea diving, going to Hawaii (check out judo/jujitsu there but we all know better huh....) blah blah blah and she complains her life is boring !!!!!!!??????? Glad I stuffed her mouth wtih Chocolate Overload ice cream :p

All the gossip on the kids and kakis (shall leave all the weird gossip out).......Heard Sulaiman is now the personal combat trainer to the Prince of Bhutan : )   That's amazing huh? While Mel is stuck teaching the 6 year old Ang Mor kids who scream and scream and SCREAM :p hee hee hee

Chris, Oliver, Kay, Bambang, Khairul, Natasha, Weixiong...etc etc....wow....all like grown up and are entering NS ...some married blah blah

UNCLE JACK IS GETTING OLD.

Is it time to go back to the academy to do some BJ (not blowjob but Brazilian Jujitsu) with the kids and Nacho Libre Ang mor uncles? hahhaa ..... maybe.

But oh well...i'm into blading now with my SM friends (why do all my acronyms sound so perverted?)

Had the 3rd blading session in my life with Victor! Whoopee....thanks to him (and T C + Willie) I'm all ready to T-stop, brake, turn and do the BIG LEMON shit and all :p.  Hope to give back whatever I've picked up back to other beginners.

Bought me blades for $199.....damm Mod-Tood broke now as this was unbudgeted. ABEC 7 and 82mm wheels....i think i must be crazy to start with such high speed uncontrollable wheelies. The wheels are 3 sizes bigger and the bearings made them spun 30.5 times more rounds than Victor's wheels - Seriously miss the control I used to have with the old skates but hey...I'm TALLER on my wheels now and I can move faster with less effort (freaking poser Jack).

Gradually getitng back to running (stan chart and AHM...whooopeee) and have been trying to clock at least 25-30km a week. Then again, work has been a real pain in the ass.

Work rambles

Some Menopause woman is stabbing me from behind. Seriously impacted my career. Sigh....unmarried menopause woman can be such a pain in the ass (Guwn Theen!!!!!) Lucky boss showed me and told me about all the personal emails she sent to him else I wouldn't have known. Got to tread carefully from now on. Why can't people just focus on the bottomline and results instead of nitpicking on senseless teeny weeny unimportant stuff. Lucky my direct superior is a big picture guy who trusts me.

Some of the emails I sent out are 100% from my boss....but it can get heavily criticised sayin g they are amatuerish and nosey as they are coming from someone too "junior" in the company. Obviously, I'm don score with aunties huh.

Love
Neither do I score with girls as well :(

Been out on dates but nothing happening.....well at least I'm enjoying myself and keeping fit.
Lynetto has been on some roller coastie recently. Hope she gets over all these shit soon and be back to her old self. I miss my snowflake =) haha...

Something bothered me. You know you do not help a man in defeat. There is nothing more wrong than showering "kindness" on the fallen. Leave him to stand on his own. Imagine the guy still have to show appreciation to this kinda of kindness (being pitied) thing. Glad I moved one more step away from this shit. I'll be victimizing myself if I complain but if I don say anything then I get x friends who say not so nice things in my face or have certain stigmas about me. No point going all out to get shit. No need for appreciation cos never wanted it - just want to get rid of the invisible shackles.

Seriously, I haven't felt so insulted for a long time till some time ago someone openly expressed unhappiness about me over a misunderstanding. You hardly know me ..pls...don act like you do with the dumb prejudice. This is some serious pissing me off shit man.... it's really really time to kick everything off and find people whom I can talk about everything under the sky and not play stupid mind games.

Some shit happened in March and again i'm branded the bad guy again...whatever...I'm always the bad, childish, immature guy no matter what happens in every situtaion. Whatever, I'm just not important enough to you so there you have it - I helped you make up your mind - Go fuck your Shanghainese boy and leave me alone -   Sheeesh.....Uncle Jack is 25 years old and still falling for "Trust me, I want a future with you!"

Thailand Trip

OUTRAGEOUS!! Haven't had so much fun for ages!! It was doubly great as I was getting away from all that love shit and certainly wasn't expecting Poj, Joy and Gail to put in so much effort to bring me around! It's freakin fun checking out Pattaya with Lynetto too. Glad she's around as the beach was nothing fantastic and accountant WIlliam is a BORE. I seriously should have just grabbed some of the angmors i met @ the bus station to come with me in his place...hahah

Finally went to this Ecudor place Joy brought Migi-san to. Not as happening as RCA but the music's really good! From the way Joy dances, it's not hard to figure why she is on Thaitay's Music video. "No Joy No Papp Papp" summarises the whole night. Hahah.... and the supper at Bug and Bee was uber fantastic!!! Must try - tom yum rice thingey there...think it's very near Chong Nansi BTS (abit drunk so can't remember).

Seriously don get how pious Accountant can protest against me and snowflake going to a male ah go-go bar while he sticks his disgusting hand into snowflake's t-shirt while she's sleeping. A lot of hypocrites out there huh....glad i'm the outright self professed "tiko beng" I am as my lovely daughter and sister says I am.

Hong Kong China Trip

Eye opener for me.

Besides involving myself in supply chain management and quality control I was also dragged to go to adult KTV with the suppliers. Getting to choose from 500 movie star looking girls to accompany me for KTV singing sure was fun. Oh well....nothing hanky panky and I actually beat the girl in drinking games. Irritiating thing was she was plainly not drunk but pretended to be and laid her head on my lap (i'm like...wtf !!! I think you have to pay me instead)

HK fair was fun and real cool. You get to see the manufacturers for ALL the merchandise selling in gift shops in Singapore. Take your pick from more than 7 halls of gift manufacturers and start your own Ig's heaven, anyone? Or you can OEM with those guys and do your own MOLECULE.

Should have brought Kit to LKF Yung Kee to try the HK$300 per pax Roast Goose...but did not have enough time :(

Misc

Baked my 1st lot of chocolate and hazelnut "famous amos" like cookies. hmmmm...izzit really soo hard? At least I like them this way. Well next time I shall make more soft subway coookies then. Lucky recipients of this virgin batch were Lynetto, Danli and Hiro. Karen B's away at Cannes so too bad for her but I guess I'll still be baking more in future! Bloody hell UPS lost my cookies shipment to Thailand :(

SOoooooo looking forward to more trips and the 2nd half of 2006. It's gonna be a great year ahead as usual!!

A brand new start - Week 29. The guys are going to Ubin this sat :( I'm still not okay on my blades yet...i wanna go Easto Coasto again!!!

Mie just sent me a picture of her sister to share.....just thought I share some movie star eye candy with guys reading the blog. (see below) I prefer her Mum...more chio!

Hoot!! What a long blog entry!

Blog EntryBest pickup line ever?Mar 13, '06 3:40 PM
for everyone

A little surprise I got when I kicked start my bike in the wee hours.....

Groggy....

2.35am

Having spent 2-3 hours drafting and shooting out 15 emails for work.

NTU canteen B was still pretty much crowded with the usual crazy Chinese and Indian scholars but yeah....Jack is getting old...need to dig my face into my pillow before 3am + give Toto a goodnight *pat pat*

After a good ol' hard kick my trusty steed wheezed and coughed and FINALLY got going.

"How long has it been since you serviced ya bike? Your pistons are jammin...your better watch out, ya?"

Spun around and noticed a pretty NTU lass.

"You hear it? The clicking sound....it's going to jam soon...don't ride so fast on the road k?"

*melt*

er....guess it's not considered a pick up line but i thought i self-boost my ego abit (can't possibly use me hands all the time to do that, right?) Moreover, she's chio, kind-hearted and knowledgeable somemore + ride a class 2A bike.

2 seconds of ya-da ya-da and han-la han-la and doobly doo I went off in my Yamaha RX-S. She made my morning.

Oh shit....need to send my bike for servicing + check up end of this week.

On the way her words set me thinking.....what if i just *plop* bike koyak then i just crash and die???

Nabeh.....damm paranoid man....

*deep thought* whlist riding home from NTU

What if i really die like that?

Was reflecting on my existence ......still am doing that now while patting Toto to sleep....regrets in life?

Yes? No?

Things I wanna say or do b4 I die?

hmm...Jack is pretty much living out his life well I guess. Came a loooooong way and can't ask for more I guess.

Not about where you are now but it's all about how far you have walked and how enjoyable the trip has been. No complaints from Jack so far. No wonder he's pretty happy.

Maybe he's been growing abit dark with cynicism and realism ...some gloom...but it's inevitable he says as he's out in the sun too long. Nevertheless he maciam got SKII under his skin to rejuvenate and keep positive always. Crap...he's just Ah-Q.

Oh wells...made a short list of things i should do b4 i die..hhmmmm...wah...not much ..good..maybe can set out to clear it in 2006?

1) Tell my parents and my 2nd brother how much I love them (literally and verbally..using mouth. can never say it though...grrr....)

2) Tell Pauline I have got a big crush on her in the past
3) Thank Danli, Auds and Aileen for being in my life *Big Hugz*
4) Play *moo* games with Toto and Rocky one last time
5) Thank Gerard and Melvy for their teachings and hopes on me
6) Sit down for a dinner with my JC guy classmates one more time - I love you guys
7) Bake something wonderful for my wonderful tutor (former tutee under me) -Min Min
8) Final Big Hug and Final Big Kiss for a certain someone

heeee..simple hor...can feel all the stress melting away liao...

LIfe is pretty simple. hmm..enjoying Instant Mee now. Felt so good just now when I was pressing the hot water out of the flask device. *beamz* remember it was quite a while before we could afford that item. Yey! Life only gets better huh : )

Pretty stressed over recent events. Haven't been blogging cos i just donno what to say.....don't want to blabber nonsense like I always do and mar friendships/relationships. It's always me to get caught in a lose-lose situation huh? Somehow, she reads me very well. Maybe she knows 100% exactly what i'm thinking now even. But she has to tell me what she thinks then.

Big Step

for me to willingly get into a lose-lose situation that will surely hurt some parties involved.

Actually I haven't really popped the question yet. Not supposed to. So has nothing happened since it's not official?

Not suppose to put your feelings in but yah....easier said then done. DId everything I was not supposed to do. Besides popping the question...

Should I just disappear?

I dun know.

All I know is thanks for some good friends for making sure I know the facts fully well b4 stepping into this and giving me support for whatever decision I make.

24.5 hours till D-Day?

Blog EntryBest PR move of 2006Jan 11, '06 10:55 AM
for everyone

Gave up trying to continue the previous entry...simply too crazily busy till I forgot @!$#@!@%$#^ what to write anyway....

Just had a dig at the whole national emergency exercise and thought it simply roxx!

22 Agencies coming together to tackle disaster areas in 5 areas isn't easy to plan AND execute.

NO KIDDING.

And they went to the extent of hriing extras to stress our counsellors out at hospitals. Wah lan eh........

Someone is in for a big bonus this year.

No one however seem to mention the qiang2 xin1 zhen1 booster it seems to bring for our economy. It's like OMG...suddenly Singapore has become the paragon showcase to the WORLD. This is like the BEST PR done for the century!! Which country can liddat so big scale one??!!!

Hoot!

We're safe. Come hold your conventions here, come set up international HQ here.

No wonder hotels here are smiling all the way to the bank now with World Bank convention and more such events coming along. 2006 is like almost fully booked and they're only putting up like 3 more hotels here in the short term.

Stock market is poised to blast past 2600pts maybe (that's a 10% gain from now)?

Sadly our Uniquely Singapore campaign pales in comparison to this.

Something jia lat I notice is we actually let the public or the world for that matter, be aware of the "Bombing" dates.

I can't imagine what would happen if the terrorist choose to bomb 4 other crowded locations on Sunday evening. People might think it's a game or exercise and our 22 agencies already ya ya deng chu koon alreadi.

As the saying goes, kiang can already, don key-kiang. I'm a tad worried we might over-do this readiness thingey and repeat the disaster of 1942 in our short history. The Brits used to say Singapore was an impregnable fortress. I hope no terrorist would deem it a heroic act to bring this modern fotress down.

So silly.......think the bomber do the silly sucide thing while Osama will sell short STI/SGX Exchange funds and make another 2 billion George Washington pung sai zhua.

Hoot...forgot to update liao

Whoa...November till now has been fun.

IRIS's office @ Hong Kong St. ROCKS !!! WOOOOOOOOHOOOOO! Makes me want to drop everything and start my own thingey like her.....grrrrr...endure endure...I'm broke and not experienced enof yet.

hmm..lucky shit Jack has been busy entertaining and interacting babes from all over the world. Thailand's Joy and Japan's Hiroko and the wonderful Candy from Singapore have been lovely. Shitty thing is we're all busy and littered all over the world now so haven't been talking.

Christmas was fantastic and Miss D treated me to Crazy Horse Paris. Wow! Nice and I love the colors. Thanks B!

hmm..suddenly feel so arty farty after catching Rent and Crazy Horse.

Boss bought drinks on NYE at the En bar/lounge whatever and introduced me to the super nice Raymond-san. Figured if I just take my japanese one notch higher, I'll be ready to join Raymond oyabun-sama in 2 years time :p  (*Jack makes a note to study hard. Ganbatte! Issokenmei~!!)

ya yah....dream on~  work now has become even more challenging as all the bosses just *poof* and fly all over the world. Foot soldier Jack here sets his own 2006 objectives and plans and is left alone to his own devices. Er.....I admit it's alot of trust I've earned over the months but it's a bit too much to just say "You have to do your own learning now.....let's see whether you are ready to move to the next level (big promotion) at the end of the year" I know boss is not joking and yah I know what needs to be done...but it ain't easy lor......nabeh..if i can pull it off then I really need big moolah to stay on manz.....soro soro~ ganbatte!

FUCK SHIT!!! I keep making those silly small mistakes..... $^T%^% ^%$!!#@!# 2006 resolution is to stop being so rash and goal oriented and built on the shrewdness. Like playing dai di....buah3 wen4!!!!

And hey 2006 is here! Met with Mariel and Jessica (er...Miss D pls correct me) 2 great Philippines friends who seriously "warned" me about Philippines. Lotsa bitching together with Miss D but shouldn't dwell on that. Gawd, they are so friendly and nice - I thought all MTV VJs are stuck up people....hoot! I'm wrong!

and flash it's today!

Had a great weekend at Nike's launch of Air Max 360. Nice of those folks to treat free flow and free food TWICE (I'm hyper gian peng..MUHHAHAHA). Figured posting pictures of bozo Jack and gang upstairs nua-ing would ban me from any future events so I'll rather talk about the cool aspects of the shoe. Many gave it a bad review in terms of styling. It sure ain't gonna start a craze with the styling but yah...it's a step forward and the shoe's an improvement over other models in make.

Great my job thought me to appreciate the laser cut, finishing and injection moulding....construction of soles blah blah a tad more than b4 and I say it's a $$ shoe. I'm pretty sure it'll ring in some money at first esp. in places like Japan. Hey NIKE is trying to go somewhere okay!!!! Currently it has now lost it's positioning as style leader and nope....NIKE ain't the PERFORMANCE shoe....so it's lost except for it's strong NIKE woman's brand. So i figure this is one step forward towards Perfomance. Good try. I'm sure the sole for this would last longer. For sneakerheads, why not collect it? It's a major milestone in NIKE shoe history. What would it do next? The EPIC bag is nice but not really that practical though.

ANd oh......the UBER COOL AUNTIE JANET! Wow.....been a while since I get that kinda WOW when i meet some online persona in real person...and hoot! She's from New York!

Hung out with wonderful Miss D and Janet and it was all good. Janet sure beats the radio :p

hmm..shall end off with showing what can be done in 2-3min using Photoshop. Samatha you wanted to know right? I only used 1 function (Liquidfy filter) and touched up on the color since Miss D's camera ain't that good. Want to spot the difference?

Bigger eyes, higher nose, smaller waist, bigger boobs, stick thin arms and waist + my bulging biceps :p

You sure you wanna disfigure yourself? Sam you look uber-cool already lor!

Blog EntryOmedeto Tanjyobi desu!Dec 27, '05 10:07 AM
for everyone

Been such a while since I've blogged......so long I forgot the loads of crap that I want dump online.

hmmmmmm...er...

continue next time.....*tired*

hmmm...office hours are for blogging so you look damm enthu and home hours are for working :p

Had a great catching-up weekend following a pretty good week at work. Not that I've done much but managed to interview some good designers all thanks to Danli. Still pretty upset this guy has no interest in helping me with my marketing but I guess that's pretty much as best as I can get.

Did some catching up and had a great dinner with Iris chatting about all the "God knows" what wrong things.hehheh. Headed down to Zouk later to meet Danli and ended up puking big time after 6 beers, some vodkas and a jug of dunno what on Friday yah but all's good seeing some old friends from production and the accountancy faculty esp + free flow!! (if anyone stepped on my poo beside the bridge, I'm sorry k!)

hmmm...guess it's a big no-no to try sitting down after 6 beers...god and I swear beer gives the most horrible hangovers!

Couldn't get Jase and Jo out on Saturday so ended up with Lynette and her ex colleague at Chijmes on Saturday for round 2 (all thanks to the stupid waiter who brought me 3 times my order) Pretty disappointed at the band playing but Bar None 2 hours later was superb :p

Arigato gozaimasu once again to Mrs. PD for getting me in free.

What really bothered me was I guess I was still pretty much of Mr. Boyfriend-Danli. Probably just find it hard to flirt or talk to other girls too much in front of her. Moreover, think she needs the attention booster since Monday's her big day! hmmm...it's never as easy to write off someone from your life like that even though it's over (it's never over....) I've recently gotten alot of advice from people asking me to cut it off completely for a few months first ...meeting up too much is no good...ya da ya da ya da but I guess it's hard as I'm pretty much too busy to date and yah...danz's the best friend ever (whoever will dump their buddy just like that huh??) Whatever happens will happen and whatever goes I guess. Our decision has been clear to ourselves already and there's no turning back for us for sure....I guess what's left now is just to treasure this sista and hope she scores on Monday! With some time and her new job, pretty sure things will be back to normal soon!

It's a week full of Gossip. Danli filling me in all the time on stuff about Xiaxue (she keeps denying she's her idol but loyally reads her blog all the time). Wah lau...i kena psycho until buay tahan go and read one shot what's happening with our handicap toilets, our Dawn Yeo, whatever whatever.

People just love to shoot each other down huh and gossip gossip gossip.....

Nothing new.

Just that the advent of information technolgy makes such gossip spread exponentially. It used to be you need to meet up @ Zouk on a weekend and hear it from the ears of an evil bitch so and so did this did that and then Jacko here says "Really meh? oooookay.....yah.....okay lor.."

But now Mr Jacko here kena bombarded via msn all the links to the 1000 word journal entries talking about so and so's plastic surgery. I even got an email about the naked drunk girl at Madam Wong who made a fool out of herself in September (woooo...hot pics!)

Scary.....

Internet gives peeps great power huh.....ya ya...i'm gonna say: With Great Power comes Great Responsibility crap

I seriously admire those who really go all out to exert their opinion and write all those things but sometimes .....it's OTT till I think they're abit...psycho. Well...most geniuses are psycho anyway so nothing's wrong I guess. To each his own. More like I admire their writing, for me I just ramble on and on and on and start a new paragraph when I breathe...don care about grammer or english or whether people find my sentences coherent..hahah..my blog is my hot air vent I guess.

*change topic*

Anyway through reading XX's blog I think I am pretty fortunate to have great travel pal Danli with me on the Bangkok trip and the GZ,HK,SZ trip we had some time back. hahahaha....sure we had more fun and visited more cool places on our shoestring budget. I just love our short quarrels at times ( am i sick?). hmmm...promised to fly her off to East Asia on one of my 6 business trips next year...hahahaa...gonna have one hell of a time yet again pretty soon :p

*change topic again*

Anyway (whatever way) besides checking out all the furore over the clapping, banging and kissing, I was peeking at sg.beautifulpeople something something. This website where I saw Hanwei's face plastered there. Being the chao buaya kind who likes to see eye candy, I registered and surprisingly got in without paying and was kinda disappointed not to see most of the beautiful babes I see @ Zouk not inside. The site pretty much sucked with alot of lagging and what the f^#%$^$#%# you must PAY to do this do that....??? crazy... my search for Eurasians and Caucasians for Danli's shoot proved futile as the majority of applicants abit wannabe kind (the cmi kind like me lor)

Did my jog and had some flashback about a similar sgbeautifulpeople.com magazine idea I shared with Danli just for fun. She likened it to JUICE and IS and dismissed it immediately (as usual......)

[As with my 1001 dumb ideas....as with the glass mobile cafe/boutique/art gallery mounted  on 40foot trailer and the massive floating entertainment centres(clubbing, bars, restaurant wathever...which I see as the USP future of Singapore 10 years down the road)]

(Hahaha..maybe I just lost my edge in bright ideas since I came out of school)

Anyway...was expanding on the idea of sg.beautiful people magazine idea some time ago thanks to a report on this JUICE , IS kind of magazine in Lebanon. Was wondering now all the blogs and web marketing are all on the individual locally. Overseas is all the hoo haa about corporate blogs and CEO blogs or .....industry blogs (like furniture, gadget blogs etc)

Maybe we can have some beautiful people group blogs in time to come?

Jack's crystal ball forsees a group of beautiful, talented, net-savvy individuals who are good buddies come together to form a collective blog.

You're get XX the lawyer, HH the marketeer, YY the stylist, UU the banker, AA the model, XX the events and media guy, FF the webdesigner etc around 10-12 people of pretty babes and hunks who represent the hip youth and future of Singapore. On it will be travel guides, shopping guides, information on everyone in the group, forums, netwroking guides, gadget blogs, how XX does her hair and where she buy her clothes and etc bimbotic stuff.

Hmmm...figure this kind of blog will get pretty much more endorsements if the pretty people in it are good writers who know their stuff. It may also be a launch platform for the talented 12 as artistes managers (or artistes themselves) or ambassadors for so and so brands...blah blah...

oops...haha...sounds silly but that's a beauty of an idea n shall just leave this as that. Time to finish my reports for work and sleep early !! Pray that Danli gets her job!!!!

Blog EntryIt's how you play the game......Nov 6, '05 6:41 AM
for everyone

B4 I re-cap what happened in the recent weeks, I gotta bitch about how I kena branded the word "LOSER" 4am Friday morning.

$#^#$~*&!#$#$T1  guess with age some people grow to set clear boundaries and their own cirlce of trust. hmmmm...probably I'll just stick to 16 yr old xiao mei meis :p  kidding....

What happened was I thought I was just being friendly to say hi and how's things at some online "Friend(or fiend)" at 9pm and yah..briefly chatted for 1 min before getting d/c cos of my stupid internet connection. After I headed to NTU to do some overtime on my office work till 4am, I thought I switch on my msn and voila....she's still online. But the moment I msg-ed her to say hey I'm sorry I got d/c, I kena 4-5 long paragraphs of scolding.....Crap like "I don't trust online peeps who are up at 4am...yadadadada....who the hell is up at these unearthly hours and god knows what are they doing....."   sheeesh....and I thought I was pretty much of an acquaintance since I shared some information and tips plus briefly chatted with her a few times before.

I replied," yah....was preying at sweet young things"

Should not go on and on about the lengthly text diarhoea staining my screen that night but what saddended me was the gradual cynicism of girls as they pile on the years.

Come to think of it, that's something I discovered in year 2003 (A tad too old I know).

Alot of guys (including myself) were lamenting how some girls just DO NOT reply sms-es or emails.....are cold....do not return calls. What they don't know and what I discovered later is it doesn't pay for a girl to be friendly.....

I mean...... as long as you wear a skirt and put yourself out there in this world...you'll get lots of trashy people hounding after you. Simple example is if your profile is out on friendster, multiply or wholivesnearyou, you'll probably get like 10 messages from horny guys asking you to be their friends (add me! add me!) EVERYDAY!!

This is on-top of the 50 smses she gets from guys  each day, wolf-whistles and corny pickup lines she gets EACH DAY. (yes...if a pretty girl above 18 years of age replies you promptly each time...she absolutely loves ya!!!)

Where does she find time for you? Think she so free ar.....hmmm...guess we guys better get the message and buzz off after getting some cold turkey.

And somehow mature girls know how to separate the trash from the studs after experienceing years of trashy pick-up lines...."Add-me!" emails and shit.

That is fine...but unfortunately some Singaporean girls grow on to be too realistic and overly cynical. Think I just got to know of another one @4am Friday 4th Novemeber.

I mean....if some lame ah-beng approaches you in a bar with a lame pick-up line like "Xiao-jie...ni heng zhute leh....yao bu yao together kan xi? Pass wo your number leh....? Bu yao tao lah....."   You can scream his head off...

But don't put away guys trying to be sincere and friendly lah.....oops....I think I just added another loser word to my forehead complaining girls don't give me a chance to be friendly....haha. Maybe Singaporeans girls are abit closed up relative to Thai, Korean and Japanese girls.

omg...got carried away.. back to what happened recently.

Bangkok was fun. Had the usual stand-off and quarrel wiht Danz during our trip but it all turned out okay as yah...why bear senseless grudes more than an hour? Just abit upset I do not get hit RCA with supermodel May to get to know some Thai babes. And I went down to BedSupperClub on Sunday to end up seeing no-one but guys guys and more cute guys......wah lau....(got a feeling all this is pre-planned by someone...hmmmmm....)

Work's cool but problematic as usual. Yes it's how you play the game. I got my uplifter just before I went on my BKK trip cos I played my cards right *whew* and went all out to sour r/s if I do not get what I want. Well that's that....

Anyway my work nowdays is number tweaking and more number tweaking. Yes I carry out the role of a consultant and do oversee LTS for different markets; learning as best from one another but I realise most of the time is spent on reporting and tweaking numbers...it's like wasting time playing this silly game. Fake, pretentious and un-productive but VERY IMPORTANT (that's under chapter 2 in AA301 during my NTU Accountancy course, World is not lalaland where everyone is honest and does their job, so you need REPORTING and an agent-principal relationship to spread your business operations..hmmm...i miss school..for the girls..not the studying)

It's never easy to work with a huge bunch of people....sigh..

To quote Mia:

"You can't please everyone! You can only please yourself!" (that's what hands are for)

Everything I do, say or write can be used against me in work. Being at a position a zillion ranks lower than a country manager, it's not pass instructions for them to give me reports. All i get is some jokers coming back at me asking me WHAT EXACTLY I WANT? Kit says it's not my fault as they are like a zillion ranks above me and should know what I want but for me...it's WAH LAU....ask you do also you don't have to do yourself what...it's your sales manager and product manger do waht and they should already have all the data ready if everyone is doing their job. hmmmm...but I can't yell anything out...cos i'm a low-life

and YET....I can't do up a silly template detailng exactly what information I need cos I just can't set a precedence of spoon-feeding(can waste up to one afternoon doing a template to explain what is budgeting for brand support, categorized by key-accounts, channels..etc...

Well..but that's what I'm paid for I guess...to solve shitty problems with alot of limitations. MUHAHAHA...i love lazy people, I love stuck-up people, I love pms colleagues and I really love my fuck shit job! wooo hoooo..guess I'm staying!

Just gotta improve my gamin' skills and tell myself making things work out is pleasing myself....so I'll do my best. Minna Ganbarismashita. Lim peh's turn to Issokenmei desu!

And oh....find a date!

Blog EntryQuarter-Century old JackoOct 16, '05 2:49 PM
for everyone

Just got back home after catching "Skeleton Key" with Klara.

Show was okay.....but that was pretty much it. Well nothing could be worse than Ju-on (the reason why I will NEVER catch Korean horror shows anymore) or The Maid so yah...I should be thankful I didn't leave the theatre cursing and swearing.

Thought about alot of things tonight....

hmmm..anyway it slipped my mind that Klara was 25 years old Aries. It's been like, 3 years since we last met and was pretty surprised just now to find an attractive woman standing in front of me instead of the xiao mei mei colleague I knew way back.

Had this long chat after the movie down at her place in SengKang and all the past memories really hit me.

Caught a bout of nostalgia some nights ago during KTV with a whole bunch of neighbours when Fereen really reminded me of Jesslyn with her infectious laughter and silly antics. Hahha...crazy girl is living la crazy viva in HK. Read her blog and kept having flashbacks of 3 years back where she was lamenting the same ol stuff. Really missed her silly grins and smiles plus watching Band of Brothers just the 2 of us together in our own special theatre @ her Sengkang flat :p

The flashbacks probably intensified when I sent Klara back to her SengKang place and suddenly all the memories of school and life came down on me...... *Jack in deep-thought mode tonight*

I'm .......25 yrs old soon in about 2 months.

Just met a friend whom I haven't met for 3 years and reminiscing what happened during the 3 years. So much to say yet can't ------ my fingers just stone at the keyboard when I want to type something.

Jack sure came a long way but good thing now I think each day that passes is a new start in life's journey. Tonight.....many could-have-beens, so many what-ifs floated in my mind. Well...feels pretty good to look back once in a while in this nice rainy comfy weather and fall asleep snuggly in bed; waking up to What I Wanna Do with 55 years left of my life.

Really thought of alot of things tonight that happened from Year 1 of Uni days till now. And the world pretty much turned out the sad cynical way I thought it would.......sad, huh?

Hahah..with the passing of time I grow jaded learning of more and more male and female friends having affairs. What's new? Perhaps the new thing now is it's more girls initating now and not ashamed of it at all :p  Oh well...tonight I got pretty much of a shocker when I learnt the quiet office Mrs XXX was initiating an affair with Mr Married XXX. Else these days it's pretty much the usual....office bitches and politics......who and who committed suicide, whose mum or dad died, silly men chasing girls in the dumbest of ways ( They sure make me feel like a bloody cassnova, girl chasing ace guru at times!)

Am I getting old? Perhaps. Suddenly seem to brand and stereotype new people/friends into the likes of old friends. Made a fool of myself mistaking the door bitch at club Momo for Jeannie. Had this conversation with Danli about her group of buddies too....hahahah....how there's a always a Jonathan in a group, then there'll be a Dickson in the group...etc......or Carol... blah blah....

Not good not good....seem to have too much prejudice over some faces nowadays also. hmmm...make a point to change that *Jack jots it down again*

Bangkok Hols please come soooooooooooooon !!! Moohahahhaa....gonna get to meet up with my Thai colleagues too!

hmmmm....nearly everyone agreed women working in an office = silly politics and bitching
Anyone worked in an all-male office before? Really no bitching n dumb politics?

Blog EntryLooking aheadSep 27, '05 3:38 PM
for everyone

Was doing 8+4 and 2006 plans till 1am and probably my morale hit rock bottom where the thought of me being underpaid surfaced again.

Again I draw the ire of counterparts that I am "spoiling market" with my kind of salary. Now that this job is supposed to take on some kind of permanence (according to Plan XX021) I think I really reallllly going to plan to negotiate the big $ question. Goodness...even for the tuition I'm giving I heard I'm spoiling market for charging so little.....Recently a colleague left in just 4 months all of a sudden (under six months only need 1 week of notice) and kinda affected my big plan to pitch for a $ increase also. Rumour has it more will leave? All because of a hated superior bossing over them? Hmmm...dunno and lucky I'm not involved with any of them.

Set my mind to doing it end of next week when boss comes back....grrrr...losing sleep over it.
Some friends were kind enough to rate me at twice the pay I'm getting but er...I think I will get the sack if I ask for the pay you guys want me to ask for.

End of next week to pop the question...hmmmm....nervous..but yeah..kinda handling too much serious stuff at my level and pay so better be sure how company values me first ELSE "You jump I jump" Titanic is in sight :(

Can't sleep till now so spent 2 hours looking at 8+4 investor reports (thanks to a super smart ass lending me his passwords) from various investment banks.

Abit upset I missed the boat for Capitaland. According to my last review in Apirl it was around $2.55 and now it is around $3.40 in September. Lost the chance to grow assets by 30% huh.....then again..realised how silly it was to post such dumb reviews as someone could sue me if he relied on the advice and made a loss.

Agar agar glanced at UOB, Capitaland, Keppel Land and Singtel reports and realised outlook ain't that great in my opinion. From the looks of it, won't place my money in any of the above till 2007 now. Property and banks digging Thailand now and will need some years to settle down and Optus which accounts for half of SIngtel $ growth is slated to slow down. Hmmm....time for me to dig out the right stocks now again...but what sector? and how would oil prices move? The logic from smart asses is put your money in gold when oil rises, which has proven to be true now and historically but nah...no experience in gold.

Hahahha..talk so much also not much money to invest. Well for now I can only hope god please let Thailand and Malaysia exceed budget!!!! I need my big fat bonus!!!

Made another big decision recently and I think I pretty much hurt someone pretty bad. Wonder if my intentions are understood. Hmmm...actually they never were really and silly me is still living his silly dreams. Life has gotten pretty lonely and boring all of a sudden as I usually close myself of to alot of people beyond a certain stage of development and that my exercise lifestyle has been seriously capped. It's probably time to get back on track to some of the things I wanna do.

Had this eye problem again. Same thing happen during my desperate days just before A-levels. Had a horrible prelims since I was a slacker and actually sat myself down to mug the entire syllabus for all my subjects in the short span of time from prelims to exams. Eye problem working too hard but I kinda finished all that I had to study 2 weeks before (yes! if you sit down for 16 hours straight no sex no tv no football no crap you can do it....no i'm not crazy) Did pretty well in the end and I remembered I had time to nap for Accounts and i went off early for Econs paper(did i?)

Wish I put in the same effort during Uni days....haha..did terrible

Well...everything happens for a reason (yes. it's that famous line) and yupz no looking back and we should all look forward. Kinda appreciate what happened to simple me and this simple life and looking forward for what's next (and more imptly..what the next 2 weeks will mean to my paycheck!)

Good thing I'm not under some bond like Mr A who broke it to b e a adventure travel guide now have to pay back heaps!

Suddenly, bondbabe's ji pa ban song humming in my head~ lalala

for everyone

Just finished my travel budget planning spreadsheet with info from the HQ administrator on a late friday night.

3 trips to Malaysia
2 trips to Thailand
1 trip to Japan

Grand total $6032

And yes I can request for more trips to do my job better if necessary so imagine add

1 trip to Korea
1 trip to Vietnam
1 trip to Taiwan
1 trip to Indonesia

Grand total now is $12248

I was like WTF??!!!!!!!!
Travel so expensive one ah.......

Imagine if I just fly budget and stay cheaper hotels I can like erm...spend $3000-4000 and keep the rest of the moolah as year end bonus sia.....

Crazy!! Then again I can remember my bro flying business $8900 or 1st class to the states $19000++  on company account so I guess this is peanuts huh...then again...I also will be flying to the states anyway so it'll be coming

What a &%*U&^@# waste of money huh!! Don't believe through better planning and flying budget cannot cut my budget by half........ but then almost humpt dumpt by colleagues who say I will spoil market doing that and bring down general welfare :(

Guess it must be my pay shit low so all these luxuries seem ooh la lah to me so kinda dropped a hint to my boss "Yo, pay...er...kinda low huh"

Crap...if only I haven't been going to work at 11am, my magical dossier sitting in the FC's room will be a much better weapon to ask for my 6 month bonus or 30% salary increment (dream dream~ yeah right)

Anyway realised I was running out of time and have to speed off to be in time to savor Shumin's Shangri-la Chocolate Truffle Dessert of something.

Fantastic shit man...this gal is good! High grade dark chocolate and homemade Kit Kat (yes....she makes Kit Kat) all in a tiny little desert cup.

And she went on rambling about chocolate mousse but she can't make it as the market had no XL size eggs available

"Huh? Why not use 2 eggs?"

And Mr think-he-so-smart here actually went on to bullshit abt 2 eggs only to know that XL eggs give a different texture and taste to the pastries and it's diff abt 2 eggs.....yeah yeah...just like my XL balls (oopss...RA)

Waahhh Lauuu....this girl is PRO lor !! Somemore all ingredients low fat and healthy....

Enough about that....been wanting to visit Korea recently cos Big Young Boss stirred my interest in a discussion about Korea and our businesses there. It is said that:

25% of the population are in so much debt and surviving by rolling over - in fact they are in so much debt their whole lives working salary cannot pay for it !!!

1 in 10 homeless still owes a credit card.

It's the freaking mentality !! Omg no wonder bankruptcies are bloody common. Some freak will just chalk up debts and die suddenly and everyone suffers bad debts or shops go bankrupt and close overnight.

Woke up early to catch a Korean special on Channel news Asia about Korean Youth Culture.
Way cool checking out their gals clubbing at so an so place.  They have this special nice bracelet thing that allows you free entry and drinks at major happenin places on Friday and hence Friday really becomes like party day.

Reminds me of my keychain I wanna do - Some stainless steel, some palladium plate some reinforced cable kind of fabric, a people counter kind of mechanism - All in all it's a ultra chic Phillpe Starck kinda key chain to be attached to car keys that will allow you to key in parking lot number after u locked the car in the car park(just push the people counter mechanism and lock it) Already have a visual....sigh..dumb me and my silly gadgets.

Oh well....besides clubbing checked out their amazing internet culture. Cyworld is their version of multiply there and it is said to be more powerful with more features (have to pay lah....woo hoo!! multiply is free!)

Kinda forgot what I want to log cos someone pissed me off just now. Sigh....going out now
